Sweetheart Cocktail 2016 – the warmest event on the coldest night
Art lovers celebrated at a true love-in at the Sweetheart Cocktail for the Arts. This signature fundraiser for the Ottawa Arts Council warmed everyone’s hearts on an extremely cold evening on February 11.
MC Manon St-Jules and our Board Chair, Julia Johnston made heart-felt welcomes. Mayor Jim Watson shared up-to-the-minute news on the Arts Court redevelopment as well as the exciting announcement of funding for Ottawa 2017. ArtHaus was our generous presenting sponsor and Bridgehead sponsored the venue at their toasty Roastery.
Guests enjoyed music provided by The Life of Pearls, delicious food and drink and a fabulous Live and Silent Auction. Thanks to your contributions, the Ottawa Arts Council raised more than $11,000 to continue to support artistic initiatives in our community.
We thank our donors, sponsors and volunteers for ensuring the success of this year’s event. The support was truly heartening.
